Crash Data Explained

In the event of a vehicle having an accident, the airbag module receives signals from the relevant crash sensors and fires the airbags accordingly. 

Unfortunately for the repairer of the vehicle, the Airbag Control Module stores the relevant crash data and the crash data can not be cleared with only a diagnostic tool in most cases, not even with the original vehicle manufacturer diagnostic equipment can a crash data removal be performed.

At Ultra ECU, we open the module in most cases and physically remove the memory chip of the Airbag Control Module and re-code the system with tested working software, leaving your airbag control module working as new. Through this process the client can have peace of mind having a working airbag system again at a fraction of the price that a new unit costs from the manufacturer.
